Preparing the Next Generation of Agricultural Leaders

NEBRASKA AGRICULTURE ACADEMY

A hands-on, real-world program where students don’t just learn agriculture; they live it.

Through focused coursework, real work experience, and leadership development, students build the skills, confidence, and direction to succeed in agriculture and beyond.

HANDS-ON LEARNING

FOR AGRICULTURE AND LIFE

FOR AGRICULTURE AND LIFE

WE BUILT WHAT WE COULDN’T FIND.

We couldn’t find a program that truly prepares students for real life in agriculture, so we built one.

Too often, students learn concepts without ever applying them. We believe growth happens when students are given real responsibility, real coaching, and real-world experience.

Agriculture doesn’t just support our state, it sustains our rural communities. And the next generation deserves to be ready to lead it forward.

HOW IT WORKS

A Different Way to Learn

Our program is designed to move beyond the classroom and into real life.

NAA operates on a focused 15-week semester model divided into three 5-week sessions in the Fall. Much like the agriculture industry itself, our program is built around intentional seasons of focus, hard work, application, followed by opportunities to reflect, reset, and prepare for what’s next.

These modules are the starting point. They spark interest, build confidence, and push students to step beyond the screen, into hands-on experiences, meaningful work, and in-person connection.

Because when Learning is tied to application, everything changes.

creating real growth

An intracurricular, Full Experience.

Students grow through three connected areas:

LIVE IT

1) Classroom (Modules)

Three 5-week virtual modules in the Fall.

Modules are designed to build knowledge and spark action in the Fall. Build real-world skills, industry relationships, and confidence through hands-on, meaningful agricultural education.

2) Supervised agriculture experiences (Real-World coaching)

One 8-week virtual SAE Cohort Experience in December and January.

SAE Cohorts are intentionally designed around the natural progression of a business or project through exploratory, growth, and maturity phases. Students begin by identifying interests, testing ideas, and building foundational skills before progressing into strategic growth, refinement, leadership, and long-term sustainability. This creates space to intentionally work on their project, not just in it.

3) FFA (Leadership & Competition)

Year-round in-person contests.

At NAA, FFA is the extension of the work happening year-round through coursework and SAE development - giving students the opportunity to apply, showcase, and grow their skills through competition, travel, and real-world experiences.

These aren’t separate pieces; they work together to create real growth.

Start with What Interests You

Step 1: Choose a Pathway.

Students begin by choosing a pathway that aligns with their interests and goals.

  • + Animal Science

  • + Plant Science

  • + Natural Resources

  • From there, they follow a structured path that combines coursework, experience, and leadership, building skills that go far beyond the classroom.

A Clear Path Forward

Step 2: see your path

Every student’s experience is mapped out, so families know exactly what to expect.

Through the three facets of our program, students move through focused modules, build their SAE, and prepare for FFA involvement.

This isn’t random. It’s intentional growth, step by step.

No Two Students Are the Same

Step 3: Plan your year!

Every student’s journey is different, and that’s the point.

After exploring pathways, families meet one-on-one with our head teacher to map out a personalised plan for the year. We align coursework, work experience, their SAE cohort, and FFA goals into a clear, manageable year.

Students don’t just join a program; they step into a plan built for them.
