Katie Shadbolt

Assistant Teacher and Co- FFA Advisor

Katie Shadbolt was born and raised on a small ranch South of Kilgore, NE. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Agricultural Education. In 2018, she married her high school sweetheart, Garrett Shadbolt, and the two moved back to the Shadbolt ranch where Katie taught agriculture classes and was the FFA advisor at Gordon-Rushville High School. After a year and a half of teaching, she resigned to raise their son George (3), daughter Mavis (1), and baby #3 due in September. While she missed teaching, she knew between childcare and an hour drive to the nearest school, returning to formal education wasn’t an ideal option. Teaching for Nebraska Agriculture Academy has helped fulfill her aspirations of being a teacher and building community while also being a full-time mom. Outside of teaching, Katie enjoys traveling to rodeos with her family, spending time with friends, reading, watching her kids grow, and helping on the ranch.
